Herculean

Start using Herculean

Create a Herculean account with Google, purchase a subscription and connect your AI agent in three steps.

Beginner

Getting started takes three steps:

  1. Create your Herculean account using the Google email address you will use to sign in.
  2. Choose and purchase a monthly or annual subscription in the app, then complete checkout through Stripe.
  3. Connect the AI agent you want to use with the production installation guide.

That’s it. Your account comes first; connect an AI agent after you have created it.

Start with what is on your mind: the task you keep postponing, a deadline, an ongoing responsibility or a rough list of everything you need to handle. Herculean gives projects, tasks, deadlines and useful context a place to stay after the conversation ends.

Explore the feature guide for an overview of the dashboard, projects, AI workflows and other major concepts.

Start your journey

After you’ve created your account, you need to set up your board. With Herculean’s integration to AI services, the easiest, fastest way to get you executing is to connect your AI service and using some of the prompts below dictate to your assistant your answers.

Herculean will manage all aspects of organisation with your AI assistant and within minutes you’ll be organised and ready to progress.

We have examples of serious projects where within usually 5 minutes or so the connected AI has populated and developed the full project. We include the real prompts which you can base your organisation on.

Start with your priorities

Herculean automatically organises your priorities into projects and coaches your AI on how to extract and organise tasks, deadlines, labels and other considerations from your conversations.

Tell your connected AI service what is on your mind and ask it to help shape the work. Initial preparation helps but isn’t necessary. You can casually converse as though you’re at the pub or in the bar and Herculean and your AI will organise everything. Worries, concerns, crazy ideas, names or loose notes are all accepted.

Select Herculean in your AI service’s apps or tools menu, then adapt this prompt:

First Herculean prompt
I’m going to brain dump everything I need to do, want to do, and am worried I might forget. Help me organise it in Herculean as a small number of clear projects and useful tasks.

Ask questions about anything important that is unclear. Suggest a project structure and explain your reasoning before creating or changing anything. Keep tasks specific, action-oriented and small enough that I can make visible progress on them.

When we are finished, tell me what I should work on first and why.

Confirm that you are ready and connected to Herculean.

Send everything you want to capture in one message or several. You can type, use voice input or share a document. If you are moving from another platform, start with the active work and context you want to keep. See how Herculean differs from other tools in the comparison guide.

Make regular reviews useful

Some AI services can schedule repeat reminders. If yours supports this, adapt these prompts to the schedule and level of detail that work for you:

End-of-day review prompt
Set a reminder at 8:00pm every day in my time zone to review what changed in Herculean today, including completed tasks, work still in progress, overdue or neglected items, and anything due or likely to matter tomorrow. Give me a short wrap-up of what I got done, where I made meaningful progress, and what is coming up tomorrow. Do not invent accomplishments or gloss over unfinished work. Ask whether anything is out of date and update Herculean as needed.

Start-of-day review prompt
Set a reminder at 8:00am every weekday to review my current Herculean tasks, priorities, deadlines and anything already in progress. Give me a concise briefing covering what is on my agenda today, what is urgent, what is at risk of being neglected and the one to three things I should focus on first. Call out blockers or overloaded projects if you see them. Inspect Herculean and give me the briefing.

Weekly review prompt
Every Friday at 6:00pm in my time zone, review my Herculean projects and tasks for the week. Summarise what was completed, what moved forward, what stalled, what is overdue or being neglected, and what deadlines or commitments are coming up. Highlight projects that are drifting or overloaded, then recommend the most important priorities for the coming week. Keep the review concise and actionable rather than just listing tasks.

Refine the system as you go

Add or remove reminders depending on whether due dates, priorities, particular projects or stalled work need more attention. Talk naturally to your connected AI service when you want to change how your work is organised.

A few principles that help

  • Have an honest conversation; the first version does not need to be perfect as you’ll update Herculean as you go.
  • Projects are meaningful areas of work; tasks contain outcomes you can advance. Some projects may continue indefinitely, while others have an end date. Tasks should be completable.
  • Keep only active work in In Progress. A simple workflow makes it easier to see what needs attention.
  • Connected AI services can update supported projects and tasks. You can refine tasks as you learn more; they do not need to be perfectly defined the first time.
